ADHD & Eating Disorder Nutritionist in NYC

Nutrition for ADHD, Eating Disorders, & Body Liberation.

Welcome to Nourished Roots Nutrition!

We’re so glad you’re here! Seeking out this work can take a lot of guts and you are on your way! But this isn’t your first attempt to feel better, or maybe even your tenth! What’s been holding you back?

Maybe you’ve tried recovery on your own or in treatment settings, but there’s still something missing…

Many people come to me asking for a roadmap to recovery and we work to create that together. The most successful tool in my arsenal is the ability to challenge clients to think outside the box, to explore beyond the beaten path and find creative tools that work for them.

Let’s develop the recovery roadmap together.

  • Authenticity

I believe that finding yourself is an essential part of recovery - no one can make your major life decisions better than you. When you’re able to tap into your inner wisdom, the loud eating disorder voice begins to sound less like a drill sergeant and more like a whisper.

  • Body Liberation

All bodies, regardless of size, color, physical capability, gender, or health status, deserve respect and freedom from judgement. This movement, created primarily by fat, black, queer women, has allowed us to fight against body oppression and harm. Choosing body liberation means choosing freedom for all bodies. It allows us to look beyond food and self image, and cultivate expansiveness in our lives.

  • Respect & Autonomy

I make a point to not tell people what to do - this tends to irritate the heck out of my clients, but it also helps them practice flexibility and build the ability to empower themself through their recovery path.

Meet Our Providers!

About Isabelle

Hello and welcome! I am the owner of Nourished Roots Nutrition, as well as a neurodivergent affirming, weight inclusive, Health at Every Size, all-foods-fit, intuitive eating registered dietitian (what a mouthful!).

As someone who identifies as neurodivergent and has recovered from my own eating disorder, I am intimately aware of how hard it can be to take the next step toward recovery.

I am here to support you in building the structure, tools, and awareness to honor your authentic self through curiosity, a bit of discomfort, and a good dose of humor.

About Blake

Hello! I am an associate dietitian at Nourished Roots Nutrition. I am a weight inclusive, HAES registered dietitian-nutritionist.

I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all clients by holding a curiosity for lived experience and prioritizing a collaborative counseling approach while also weaving in my knowledge of nutrition science.

My work with folks is informed by my own experience as a neurodivergent provider, and a commitment to the awareness of the intersections of societal oppression, diet culture and weight stigma to provide holistic, healing care. I work from a trauma-informed approach and hope to support you in returning to your body’s wisdom.
